An intriguing view of the underground tunnel system beneath the Group 2 buildings at the Kings Park Psychiatric Center on Long Island. A special thanks to Johnette Napolitano for the use of her song, "Suicide Note" from the "Underworld" soundtrack.

Potter's Field was the final resting place for patients of the Kings Park Psychiatric Center. Hundreds of patients are buried here with hardly any marker stones to show for it. A special thanks to Sarah Bettens for providing her lovely voice to the song, "All of This Past" from the "Underworld" soundtrack.

The Kings Park Psychiatric Center on Long Island was established on 1885 and closed in 1996. Sixty-two out of the seventy-three structures that remain are abandoned, as a reminder of what they once were. It's true that not every person enjoyed their time here, but at the same time it wasn't hell for all of them either. While this might have been just another mental hospital to some, to others it was as close to a home as they could ever experience. You must try to look at both sides of the coin, so to speak, when thinking back on the history of the KPPC. Things are not always like they seem from the outside. In this video I covered most of the territory of the hospital making sure to show some interiors and tunnels, as well.

These are the buildings of the Veterans' Memorial Hospital Unit at the abandoned KPPC on Long Island. This area of the hospital north of St. Johnland Road has been turned into the Nissequogue River State Park, providing the public with a beautiful and unique view of one of Long Island's most explored locations.

These are the remaining buildings of Group 2 at the abandoned KPPC on Long Island. It is quite unfortunate to see how badly they have fallen into a state of disrepair. This area of the hospital was once filled with the lively youths of the children's ward and adolescent wards followed by the Mental Retardation Unit. Please, make no attempt to enter these structures, as they are extremely hazardous.
